Don Juan

Félicien Rops from Namur, Belgium, created this biting image of Don Juan in Le Plus Bel Amour de don Juan in 1884 to accompany a Barbey d'Aurevilly book Les Diaboliques (written 1874). Unlike his other work, this image seems to condemn Don Juan for taking advantage. Am I wrong?
