When does satire become racism?  This is Lennon at his most cutting and cynical best.  Sexy Sadie was originally called “Maharishi” after the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, but George Harrison insisted the name be changed.  Compare this song by Lennon with McCartney’s song “Fool on the Hill” which is also at least in part about the Maharishi.
